What to Expect
The National Day celebrations will kick off with festivities at the heartlands on the weekend of 5th and 6th August. These community-based events will bring the celebrations closer to the people, allowing everyone to participate in various activities and experience the spirit of togetherness. On the 9th of August, the iconic Padang will be the focal point for the grand National Day Parade.
#GiveAsOneSG Campaign
The NDP 2023 Executive Committee has launched the #GiveAsOneSG campaign to promote volunteerism and encourage Singaporeans to impact their communities positively. This campaign aims to foster stronger social ties and provide volunteering opportunities for both regular and first-time volunteers. #UniteAsOneSG Campaign

NDP in the Heartlands
On August 5th and 6th, the GetActive! Singapore Heartland Festivals will take place at five heartland locations across Singapore. These festivals offer a weekend of fun-filled activities for the whole family.
Participants can join community events at Bedok Stadium, Jurong West Stadium, Toa Payoh Stadium, Woodlands Stadium, and Our Tampines Hub. The festivities will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display on August 9th, accompanied by an island flypast.
NDP at the Padang
The National Day Parade at the historic Padang will showcase Singapore’s traditions and heritage. Expect crowd favourites like the State Flag Flypast and the Presidential Gun Salute during the Parade and Ceremony.
The RSAF55 Aerial Display and the Total Defence Parade will highlight the commitment and resilience of Singaporeans in defending and protecting the nation. This segment emphasizes the importance of Total Defence and aims to inspire unity and resolve among Singaporeans.
Building Our Shared Future As One
The National Day Parade Show “Building Our Shared Future As One” celebrates Singapore’s diversity and resilience. The show intertwines three short films featuring 43 artists and 2,400 performers across four live Acts.
These films showcase the stories of 19 Singaporeans, highlighting their dreams, passions, aspirations, and contributions to society. These inspiring narratives encourage Singaporeans to create an inclusive future full of opportunities and compassion.
