A Chicago doctor’s vaccines might have done more harm than good after it was found out that he was using vodka and cat saliva in his oral and nasal vaccinations.

A Lot Of His Patients Were Children

Dr. Ming Te Lin was administering home-made vaccinations to his patients, and has allegedly been doing it for more than a decade.

And according to his charts, he not only had a lot of patients that were children, but some of them were as young as only seven days old.

His office was unsterile; containing all sorts of vials and tubes to concoct his home-brewed oral and nasal vaccines.

He used alcohol such as vodka as well as cat saliva to treat patients with allergies. He was also using a device called the “Wavefront 2000” to remove mercury from vaccines, which some people claim is a device based on pseudo-science.

Most Of His Patients Weren’t Complaining

Oddly enough, based on his profile from vitals.com, his patients seem to like him as he has an overall rating of 4.0 at the site. There are also a number of awards in his profile which include the following:

  • Patients’ Choice Award (2010 – 2013, 2015)
  • Compassionate Doctor Award – 5 Year Honoree (2015)
  • Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2011 – 2015)
  • On-Time Doctor Award (2015)

He administered regular vaccines, but was also providing homeopathic cures, which would explain the homemade vaccines.

The complaints came from health care providers who said that the doctor was giving unapproved oral vaccines.

Lin, who has a specialization in immunology and allergies, is currently suspended from doing any medical procedures, and a hearing for his case by the Medical Disciplinary Board is scheduled for October 11.

Vaccines Are Generally Safe

Dr. Lin’s case is an isolated one, and for the most part, vaccines are completely safe and harmless. The most common side effects from vaccines are mainly some minor swelling and fever, which is totally normal.

If you’re worried about something similar happening to you, then it’s important to make sure to do some research on a few doctors before choosing one that’s best for you.

Ask your friends and family for doctors that they recommend and that they swear by. It’s also important for you to meet the doctor face-to-face to see if they will be a good fit for your family.

It’s totally fine to be picky when it comes to the doctors that will be taking care of you and your family’s health. If you’re not comfortable with your current doctor, then it would be best to look for another doctor for your family. The important thing is to make sure your doctor only has your family’s well-being in mind.
