Rihanna’s First Pregnancy With Partner A$AP Rocky
Of course, we didn’t expect anything less when Rihanna gives birth for the first time. Last January, she confirmed rumours of her pregnancy with a fabulous pictorial.
Rihanna shares her first pregnancy with her partner rapper A$AP Rocky. As known musicians, the two knew each other as friends for about a decade. Their friendship eventually grew into a budding romance in 2020.
However, News of A$AP Rocky’s relationship with Rihanna came as a shock because of his reputation. Before this, the famous rapper also admitted that he described himself as a shameless ladies’ man.
Despite his past, A$AP Rocky proudly expressed his dedication and love to now-partner Rihanna.
“She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the one.”
The couple confirmed their relationship a year before speculation of Rihanna’s pregnancy.
Fans Speculate Rihanna Hiding Her Baby Bump
In November of 2021, Rihanna’s fans speculated that the Fenty CEO was subtly hiding a baby bump. We don’t blame them because most of the singer’s wardrobe at that time consisted of baggy clothes.
Moreover, the rumours came to life when Rihanna and A$AP Rocky walked at the MET Gala in 2021. The couple both donned clothing that hid their figures. Some said Rihanna seemed to especially hide her belly during the event.
Rihanna Hosted a Secret Baby Shower
In March of 2022, Rihanna hosted a secret baby shower with A$AP Rocky. The couple arranged a “rave-themed” party and invited close friends and loved ones. Some of the guests in attendance came from Barbados.
During the baby shower, the couple restricted guests from posting pictures or videos of the intimate party. However, a few pictures of the couple’s party favours surfaced online.

Friday the 13th of May takes on a whole new meaning as Rihanna gives birth to her first baby. However, she and her partner, A$AP Rocky hid the news from the public. Fortunately, we can celebrate the wonderful news with the couple after one week.
In an interview with Vogue, Rihanna expressed her excitement about becoming a first-time mum. She also glamorously flaunted her pregnant body in several photoshoots and magazine features.
“I want to see who they are in the world, who they become,” stated the CEO and singer. “Because I’m just here to keep them on the rails—a passenger as much as the driver.”
Before her first baby’s celebrated birth, Rihanna established a unique narrative of being a celeb mum under the limelight. The Fenty CEO garnered fame for dressing fabulously while pregnant with her first child.
“I’m hoping that we were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women,” stated Rihanna.
Furthermore, she discouraged pregnant mums from being embarrassed by their changing bodies.
According to the singer, “Why should you be hiding your pregnancy?” “My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory.”
With that said, we also encourage expecting mums to embrace their body’s transition during pregnancy. Don’t listen to cruel remarks and celebrate the way your body creates a new human.
What to Expect After Giving Birth for the First Time
Now, we know that we can’t all walk like Rihanna. Being a new mum brings a lot of stress and worry. However, we discourage you from thinking you’re alone in all this.
After birth, most mums worry about the state of their bodies. As we mentioned, you shouldn’t be ashamed of your body’s change during and after pregnancy. You just have birth to a whole new person. Not a lot of people can do that so don’t put yourself down.
One of the most common questions we say after giving birth is “Why do I still look pregnant?” We often hear this from mums who miss the shape of their bodies before pregnancy. However, we must remember that not all bodies are the same.
Find strength in drowning out negative thoughts about your body after birth. Some mums struggle with shedding their pregnancy weight. Meanwhile, other women easily shift back to their old figures. Several factors influence the rate and degree of belly tightening. These include the following:
- Genes
- Your shape and weight before pregnancy
- The weight you gained while pregnant
- Your exercise routine after giving birth
On the other hand, some mums easily regain their old body shape because of…
- Breastfeeding
- Barely gained weight during pregnancy
- It’s their first baby
Regardless of these issues, we urge you to relax and take your time. Enjoy your new role in the world as a mum. Focus on your baby and not your body shape.
