Rally sites for general election
Eight election rallies will be held across Singapore on Monday between 7pm and 10pm.
The People’s Action Party (PAP) will conduct its rallies at 3 locations.
Singapore People’s Party candidates for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC will speak at Bishan Stadium
For Bukit Panjang SMC, it will be held at the open field opposite Blk 513 Jelapang Road, bounded by Segar Road and Bukit Panjang Ring Road.
The rally for Yuhua SMC is taking place at Jurong East Stadium while the location for the Hong Kah North SMC is at the open field bounded by Jurong West Avenue 3 and Jurong West Streets 22, 23 and 24.
The Worker’s Party rally site for Moulmein-Kallang GRC will be at the open field next to Kallang Avenue.
The Reform Party candidates for West Coast GRC will speak at an open field near West Coast Park beside Carpark 3.
The National Solidarity Party rally site for Mountbatten SMC will be at the open field opposite the Mountbatten Community Centre.
The Singapore Democratic Party‘s rally location for the Holland-Bukit Timah GRC is at the open field bounded by Commonwealth Avenue, Commonwealth Drive and Commonwealth Close.
The lunch time rally site will be at Boat Quay next to UOB Plaza during the hustings period.
There will be 41 sites for rallies.
The rally sites for Ang Mo Kio GRC will be Yio Chu Kang Stadium, or the open field bounded by Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 and Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2.
The rally sites for Aljunied GRC will be Serangoon Stadium and the open field bounded by Ubi Road 3, Ubi Ave 1 and Ubi Ave 2.
Applications have to be made to the police to hold rallies at the sites. Police said the rallies may be held from Thursday to next Thursday, May 5 between 7am and 10pm.
Police strongly encourage rally goers to take the public transport as traffic congestion can be expected at the roads leading to the rally sites during this period.
Motorists travelling within the vicinity of election meetings should be prepared for changes in the traffic conditions which may affect their travelling plans. Motorists are also advised to tune in to the radio for updates on the latest traffic situation.
