Public transport fares in Singapore are all set to rise from 29 Dec 2018. The latest annual revisions were announced by the Public Transport Council (PTC) on 30 Oct 2018.

Revisions to public transport fares in Singapore

Here are the revisions at a glance:

Card fares

  • For adults: 6 cent increase
  • For students and senior citizens: 1 cent increase

Single trip train ticket: 10 cent increase for all

Cash fares (Bus):

  • For adults: 10 cent increase
  • For students and senior citizens: No change

Monthly concession passes and Adult monthly travel passes: No Change

In a Facebook post, Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan said that, “PTC has capped the card fare increase at 6 cents for adults, and at 1 cent for seniors and students, lower wage workers and persons with disabilities.”

“This will mitigate the impact of the fare increase. To further help lower income families cope, the Government will provide $9 million of transport vouchers for these families.”
