According to the joint statement from MOE and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB), the collection of results in classrooms will start at 11am.

“We recognise that having the opportunity to collect their examination results in person is an important part of the educational journey, as it gives students the opportunity to be with their classmates and consult their teachers face-to-face on their next steps,” their statement reads.

They make sure to add that there will be necessary safety measures in place for when students collect their PSLE results during the release date.

Arrangements And Safety Measures For Collecting PSLE Results

The authorities give the following guidelines for the PSLE results release date:

  • One parent or guardian can accompany their child to school to collect their exam results.
  • Parents and guardians will need to wait at the designated areas in the schools. This is to minimise the congestion and intermingling among individuals.
  • Parents and guardians must also observe the necessary safe management measures while their child receives their PSLE results in the classroom.
  • Accompanying parents and guardians will not be allowed to access or wait near the classrooms.

Guidelines For Those Issued A Risk Warning Or Have Tested Positive With COVID-19

Students and parents who have been issued the Ministry of Health’s Risk Warning will also be allowed to collect their results in person. But this is only if they test negative using the Antigen Rapid Test (ART) on the day of the PSLE results release date before they go to their respective schools.

Those who are unwell or are self-isolating due to a positive COVID-19 test result should not return to school. They will instead be given the option of accessing their results online via the SEAB Candidates Portal which you can find here. This will be from 11.45am on the same day the results are released.

“School candidates would have received their user account issued by SEAB through their schools from 15 November 2021. The system will be accessible from 24 November 2021 to 7 December 2021,” add MOE and SEAB.

These students may also choose to appoint a proxy to collect a physical copy of their results on their behalf. Proxies are then required to collect the result by November 26. They will also need to bring the relevant documents for the school’s verification.

Each school may be contacted for assistance if students happen to not receive their user account for SEAB’s Candidates Portal or if they are unable to appoint a proxy.

Meanwhile, eligible students will be given the Secondary 1 Option Form to select secondary schools. This will be when they collect their results slips in person.

Students may also instead download a copy of the S1 Option Form from the Secondary 1 Internet System using the unique S1 Personal Identification Number. This was distributed to students through their primary schools at the end of Term 4.

The form will provide key information regarding the submission of school choices. In discussion with their parents, the students should first consider their secondary school choices before making their decision.

Afterwards, they can complete the option form before logging on to the Secondary 1 Internet System to submit their secondary school options.

It will be accessible starting from 11.30am on November 24 to 3pm on November 30 through the Secondary 1 Posting website here

“Alternatively, parents may contact the student’s primary school and seek their assistance to submit the S1 options before 3.00pm on Tuesday, 30 November 2021,” the statement also says.

The results of the Secondary 1 posting exercise will then be released between the dates December 22 and 24. They will be available via the following ways:

  • Short Message Service (SMS)
  • Secondary 1 Internet System
  • The student’s primary school
