Prudential Singapore (“Prudential”) is giving away 85 limited-edition decks of “Ready, Reset, Go! Power Cards”, specially crafted to help Singaporeans improve their overall wellbeing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the onset of the pandemic, people’s wellbeing has been significantly impacted. Nearly half (47 per cent) of the Singaporeans surveyed for Prudential’s study “Re-imagining 100: The pandemic’s impact on longevity¹”, say their financial wellbeing has deteriorated. More than one third (35 per cent) say their mental health has suffered, while a quarter (25 per cent) say their physical health has worsened too.

Alongside this deterioration in health and financial wellbeing, people feel stressed from new work routines, with only half (50 per cent) saying they enjoy remote working. These pressures have affected the quality of relationships – fewer people today (62 per cent compared to 92 percent in 2018²) admit to being happy in their most important relationship.

With the pandemic continuing to impact lives, everyone needs to make a proactive effort to improve their wellbeing. The “Ready, Reset, Go! Power Cards” have been designed keeping this in mind and aim to nudge people to live better.

The deck consists of 15 cards divided into three categories that are key to living well holistically – finances; health and wellness; and work and relationships. Each card in these categories contains an interesting tidbit followed by a prompt for the reader to take an action step that will improve the state of their wealth, health, work or social life.

A peek into the ‘Ready, Reset, Go!’ Power Cards

Finance Category

The cards in the “Finance” category urge people to kickstart their financial planning journey. They prompt them to take four action steps:

1. Start planning early
2. Improve financial knowledge along the way
3. Set clear goals
4. Find the right financial solutions to achieve these goals

To enable people to take each of the above actions, the cards direct them to discover a set of wealth solutions that are available on Pulse by Prudential (“Pulse”). Pulse is a digital health and wellness app from Prudential.

Health and Wellness Category

The cards in the “Health and Wellness” category urge people to improve their mental and physical health. They prompt them to take four action steps:
1. Check their BMI to see how healthy they are – To do this, people need to follow the instructions on the card to access a “BMI Recorder” on Pulse. The feature just needs the user to upload a selfie to reveal their BMI.
2. Monitor their health – This card encourages people to get an in-depth assessment of their health. It directs them to an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered feature called “Healthcheck” on Pulse. Healthcheck helps users generate a report of their overall health status and long-term disease risks.
3. Explore activities that improve mental and physical wellness – With this card, people can kickstart their health and wellness journey by booking two complimentary virtual yoga sessions with Jyan Yoga.
4. Explore activities that de-stress the mind and body – This card lets people know that a complimentary kit of seeds from Super Farmers is enclosed with their deck of cards. The inclusion of the Super Farmers kit is inspired by the many mental health benefits of gardening.
