Mums and dads, do your little ones love Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal for breakfast? You might want to avoid giving it, as there’s been a global product recall of Kellogg Honey Smacks cereal.

Product Recall of Kellogg Honey Smacks Cereal

As reported in The Straits Times, Kellogg Company has issued a global recall for its Honey Smacks cereal due to the potential presence of salmonella bacteria.”

So far in the US, there have been over 60 cases of illness that have been linked to consumption of this cereal.

The voluntary recall involves the 15.3 oz and 23 oz packages of the cereal, the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) said in a press release on Sunday (June 17).

In Singapore, the importer of this brand is in the midst of recalling this product. Do note that no other Kellogg products have been affected.

Mums and dads, if you buy this cereal, you’ll want to check the “best before” date on the top of the box. If the date reads between June 14 this year (2018) and June 14 next year, then this is part of the contaminated batch.
