Pat’s Schoolhouse pledges its support for global campaign ‘Read for the Record’!

By pledging to read, you can change a child’s life forever. On Thursday, 4th October 2012, the preschoolers and teachers at Pat’s Schoolhouse will do just that as they join millions around the world as part of “Read for the Record” – the global campaign to celebrate literacy.

‘Read for the Record’ was first launched in America in 2006 as a call for an end to early education achievement gap and it has turned into an annual worldwide event when individuals come together to celebrate literacy and support early childhood education.

People from all over the world pledge to read from the same, pre-selected children’s book in their respective schools and homes to show solidarity.

This year, over 2,200 students at Pat’s Schoolhouse will read the book Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad by David Soman and Jacky Davis on 4th October.
