The November-December school holidays Singapore 2017 are here! Are you looking for ways to keep the kids occupied? Well, look no further, we’ve put together a list of exciting activities to keep you busy until the new year!

We’ve organized the events into activities that are super fun, ones that are a mix of playtime and laughs and ones where the kids can be learning new skills.

1. “Fulfill your Destiny” Star Wars: The Last Jedi @Waterway Point

2. Step Into the land of giants at the Singapore Zoo and the Singapore River Safari

The Singapore Zoo and the Singapore River Safari are putting Invertebrates in the spotlight. During the holiday season, the Singapore Zoo will have 60 super-sized invertebrate installations! Imagine an ant that’s been magnified a million times! Over at the River Safari, glimpse amazing creatures like the giant freshwater stingray and more.

3. Skyline Luge Sentosa

There are two new reasons to visit the Skyline Luge Sentosa; two awesome new tracks for you to race down! After you make the thrilling journey down each of the tracks, hop on the Skyride to get a lift back to the starting point which offers beautiful views of Siloso Beach and the South China Sea.

When: Open daily from 10 am to 9.30pm

4. Santa’s Little Helper

Santa’s Little Helper stars Albert Tuttle, a boy of almost 7 years old who is definitely too old to believe in Santa! It just doesn’t make sense to him – how can this fat man in red pyjamas visit all the children in the world in one night? The performance features a mix of music, puppetry and storytelling. It’s perfect for kids aged 2-7 who will love the sing-along songs and other chances to join in!

5. Little Miss Bento Workshop

Shirley Wong of the famed Little Miss Bento will be teaching a session on how to make Christmas-themed bento boxes. Programme suitable for children ages six to twelve. Advance registration is required.

6. Disney’s Frozen: In Concert Live To Film

This event is a must-go for Frozen lovers who will love this new way of experiencing Elsa, Anna and Olaf’s adventures. A live orchestra with more than 80 musicians and choir will be performing the music while you watch the film on a giant screen at Singapore’s iconic Esplanade Concert Hall!

7. Night Safari’s Twilight Encounters

On Fridays and Saturdays until the end of the year, you can enjoy Twilight Encounters at the Night Safari. Wander around the glow-in-the-dark walking trails and look for animals shrouded in darkness. Keep an eye out for the geometric animal light sculptures are you learn about all the safari animals.

When: 17 November to 31 December only on Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm to midnight

8. Celebrating Grandparents’ Day With Families For Life at the National Museum

November-December school holidays 2017 Singapore: Explore the National Museum with your little ones!

Celebrate the day with your family at the National Museum! There will be musical performances, stage games and even a bouncy castle so families can create precious memories. Kids can learn first-hand from their grandparents about what life was like in Singapore when they were growing up as you visit milestones of Singapore’s history.

9. Diggersite@ORTO

Right now, visit Diggersite@ORTO Lorong Chencharu to see mini-construction vehicles including tower cranes, excavators and forklifts. Your little ones (over the age of 6) can even try operating the machines on their own! They’ll love knocking down a tower of plastic bottles with a wrecking ball or riding a coal-mine cart around the site! Most of the site is outside, so plan accordingly around the weather.

10. Children’s Art Studio by Art Wonderland

November-December school holidays 2017 Singapore: Some art, for little art enthusiasts?

This year’s Affordable Art Fair returns with the Children’s Art Studio by Art Wonderland. They will be hosting workshops for children to harness their inner creativity.

One activity, the Garden of Tomorrow, is an installation that looks at what will happen if we do not protect our environment. Another, Explorers At Work, is a 75-minute workshop for children aged 4-12 years old which incorporates a tactile art-making session.

11. Superfly Kids Camps

Superfly is Singapore’s parkour movement academy and agency. Perfect for kids who are looking for something to keep them active, the programs at Superfly involve a broad-based movement curriculum based on parkour moves and Filipino martial arts. It offers children the opportunity for self-discovery through movement.

12. 3 Generation Bonding @ the Sports Hub Community Play Day

November-December school holidays 2017 Singapore: Bond with the family!

Visit the Sports Hub on Community Play Day for this giant family-bonding event! The day will be full of activities to encourage bonding through sports and living an active lifestyle. You can join a KPOP dance competition, try carnival and arcade games and more!

13. Science Under the Big Top

Science Under the Big Top explains some of the secrets behind the gravity-defying acts that you can see at the circus! The exhibition, originally from the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, features 20 interactive exhibitions including one where visitors can balance on a three-metre high wire and another where visitors can try their hands (and bodies) at contortionism.

14. Singapore Botanic Garden Children’s Festival

The Singapore Botanic Gardens Children’s Festival will be chock-full of super fun activities for your little ones. There will be tons of arts and craft booths as well as the opportunity to join baking workshops and learn how to make cookies and muffins. Don’t forget to join a guided walk to learn about some of the species of flora that live in the Botanic Gardens!

15. Playeum Holiday Workshops

Playeum, Singapore’s first Children’s Centre for Creativity is hosting holiday workshops to inspire children through play. Throughout the school holidays, they’ll be holding one-day workshops like “Hats Off To You!” on 19 November when kids can upcycle a cap for an upcoming Christmas party or on 24 November and 15 December, they can “Create a Cardboard City” using a range of recycled materials from twigs to electronics!

16. Air Force Museum

Worried that your little one’s brain is turning to mush from the lack of studying? Take the kids to the Air Force Museum for a day of learning the history of the Singaporean Air Force. Kids will especially love the outdoor gallery where they can get up close to different aircraft, even fighter jets!

When: Tuesday to Sunday 8.30am to 5.00pm (Closed on Monday & Public Holidays)

17. Poinsettia Wishes

Visit the Flower Dome to experience a Nordic festive wonderland with the Poinsettia Wishes display.  You can also see Santa’s reading cabin, post office, toy workshop and even a candy shop in the Flower Dome. During December, your little ones may even get lucky and meet Santa Clause! During December, you can also enjoy Christmas Wonderland happening at Gardens by the Bay.

Educational Camps

18. Holiday Camps at Trehaus

November-December school holidays 2017 Singapore: Check out Trehaus’ camps!

Coworking space Trehaus have planned some awesome camps to keep kids busy but still learning during the school holidays. This year’s program focuses on STEM education and coding so children can learn some of the key skills they’ll need for the future. Some of their partners for this year’s camp are Kiddet, Explorer Junior and Coding Lab.

19. MindChamps School Holidays Workshops

The school holidays can be an excellent time for enrichment classes with kids out of school! MindChamps is planning holiday programmes that will teach your little ones essential soft skills as well as improving their English Read and Writing skills.

Enroll your little one to be a Junior Environmentalist where kids will learn about why we need to save the environment. For kids taking the PSLE in 2018, check out the Formula 1-themed PSLE workshop where kids will review the key concepts in English, Maths, Science and Chinese.

20. Julia Gabriel Centre Holiday Programmes

The Julia Gabriel Centre will be running holiday camps for kids as young as six months, all the way up to twelve years old. Babies from 6 – 18 months can be enrolled in the camp, A Birthday Surprise for Rainbow Bear, an Adult accompanied programme where the kids and parents can have an awesome birthday party for their favourite colourful mammal.
