51-year-old Terri Lynn Torres has been suffering from a benign brain tumour for the last two decades. Throughout that time, she’s gone through two years of failed radiation treatments, and now must consider a potentially fatal surgery option.

An ailment like hers would surely serve as a hindrance to any person’s daily routine. The constant and unbearable headaches, the treatments, and the frustration of dealing with her problem would trouble just about anyone in her shoes.

Torres, a single mother of two, is a fighter through and through. She accepts the challenge of enduring life with a brain tumour. Even knowing that the benign tumour continues to grow, Torres continues her daily life with the strength and courage only a mother could have.

Last year, Torres lost her car and, as a result, getting to and fro doctor’s appointments has been very difficult. Not to mention that her car was the main source of transportation for both herself and her teenage daughter.

If anyone needs a car to better their lives, it’s Torres. Luckily, Passion 4 K.I.D.S., a non-profit organization near Torres recognized her struggle and provided her with 2008 Volkswagen Jetta!

Passion 4 K.I.D.S. is a local charity in the San Diego area that is headed by philanthropists Linda and Charles Van Kessler.

Though the funding for their charitable organization isn’t much, they knew they had to do the right thing and ensure that Torres can lead a happy, healthier life.

Torres is a shining example of the courage and strength that women and mothers everywhere have, and thanks to Passion 4 K.I.D.S. she can continue to be a great role model for people suffering from similar ailments.
