According to their Facebook post, the ministry stated, "MSF is aware of a Facebook post alleging that MSF officers denied a mother access to her newborn and had placed her baby in foster care without informing the parents."

"We wish to clarify that there were serious safety and welfare concerns for the child. To safeguard the well-being of the child, MSF officers applied for a care and protection order and the Court made an order to place the baby in foster care for the time being," added MSF Singapore.
