MOE announces that new school fees for non-Singaporean students will start in 2016.
Following the recent news of increase in school fees for selected childcare centres, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced that school fees for students who are Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) and international students (IS) in Government and Government-aided schools will be revised from January 2016.
In addressing the revision in fees, MOE explains that the move was part of its “periodic review of school fees” and to “further differentiate fees by citizenship”.
For PR students, fees will increase by between S$20 to S$60 per month and for IS students, the increase is between S$20 to S$150 per month.
School fees for Singapore Citizens remain unchanged.
