After a week’s delay, Singapore’s biggest carnival, The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival is finally opening today (Dec 15)!

Mums and dads, we managed to catch a sneak preview and it was SUPER FUN!

Here are some exciting things to know about the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival:

  • The carnival, billed as the biggest in Singapore, runs from 15 Dec 2017- 1 April 2018.
  • It is happening at Marina Bay at the Promontory and Bayfront event space.
  • Entry to the event is FREE, charges for the rides and game booths apply though. Rides and games cost between S$4 and S$14.
  • The opening hours are from 4 pm-11 pm daily, except for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, when the carnival is open from 3 pm to 2 am.

  • How to get there: 

Nearest MRT: Bayfront MRT, Promenade MRT, Downtown MRT

Nearest carpark: Wilson carpark at Red Dot Design Museum, Marina Bay Financial Centre OUE Building

Now comes the best part, the AWESOME rides, stalls and food! The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival comprises more than 40 rides and games – many of which have been brought into Singapore from various European countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy, for the very first time!

Check out the Star Flyer, the tower ride that enables visitors to take in an uninhibited 360 ̊ view of the Singapore skyline from a 35-metres height while experiencing the sensation of flying.

Another that would challenge the bravest of us is the Mach 5, an ultimate thrill ride which stands at a whopping 55 m above ground, rotating at a speed that can reach 96 km/hour under eight seconds!

Families can also enjoy timeless classics such as the Jungle River with its gentle turns before heading down to a big splash at the end.

The DasFun Schiff pirate ship takes riders on a voyage as the vessel soars high above while swinging back and forth.

The Shark Coaster is where little ones can buckle up and get their first orientation to a rollercoaster ride!

Games and stalls aplenty

The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival will see Singapore’s largest ever collection of more than 30 carnival game stalls catering to adults and children of all ages, with 1,200,000 licensed plush toys up for grabs!

Big Mouth, Can Blaster, Bowling , Catch a fish, Ping Pong Roll Down, ring toss, roll a ball…the list is long!

  • Food

With so much happening, you are bound to be starved. So you’ll be relieved to know that when it comes to food, you’ll be spoilt for choice here.

For the local foodie, expect highlights like Cendol Soft Serve and Lemongrass Chicken Rice Bowls.

Apart from that, all the usual suspects like curly fries, burgers, hotdogs, sizzling sausages, warm melted raclette, churros and freshly-popped buttery popcorn are available in plenty.
