Singapore Festival of Fun 14-24 March

The third annual Singapore Festival of Fun is back for the upcoming March school holidays from 14th to 24th of March 2019.

The Singapore Festival of Fun with its three pillars of entertainment will take place over the following dates:

  • Nickelodeon Fiesta 23rd and 24th March. 10am to 6pm. Free Entry

Look forward to game booths and activities with themes from Nickelodeon shows, and photo opportunities with family favourite characters from shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol and Dora the Explorer.

  • Clarke Quay Streetfest 14th to 19th March, 6pm to 10pm. Free Entry

Audiences can expect to be thrilled by The Sergeant Majors (UK), the tallest 10ft tall walkabout act, Otto – The Master of Balloons and a classic clown act, Felicity Footloose – an acrobat who will hang upside down and juggle, Street Circus Canada, a nouveau high-energy performance duo and Ernest Magnifico, a pogo stick and stunt show performer from Australia.

Last but not least, Singapore’s very own The Annoying Brothers will also take to the stage with their cheeky Big Top acts.

The Magners International Comedy Festival, now in its sixth installment, will take its hat off to to an incredible line-up of top-billing international comedians over two weekends (15th and 16th March, 21st to 24th March).

United Square Flippin Fun 8 - 24 March

Get ready for a fantastic Flippin Fun’ this March school holidays at United Square with a series of exciting hands-on activities from 8 March to 24 March 2019.

There will be flip flop carving live demo sessions, followed by Flippin’ Fun Workshops.

Have you ever wondered what happened to the pair of flip flops you have thrown away? Watch the creative artisan – Florence Auma Muga from Kenya as she transforms discarded flip-flops into colourful masterpieces in a 30-min live demo session. 

Parent-and-child teams can participate in the workshop sessions assisted by the artisans to create their very own customised masterpieces with flip-flops.

‘History of Singapore’ Trivia Hunt around the City

Kids can put their knowledge of Singapore’s history to the test as they look for clues and complete a trivia quiz to redeem extra kidZos!

‘I Am a Muz-Artchitect’ Drawing Competition by MuzArt at the Main Square

From 16 March to 14 April, kids can get creative and express themselves through art by taking part in MuzArt’s drawing competition.

There’ll be different categories for kids aged 3 to 6, 7 to 9, and 10 to 12, with attractive prizes up for grabs, including free art classes and KidZania Singapore tickets. Winners of each category will be announced on 21 April (Sunday).

Science Centre has an exhilarating line-up of activities this March school holidays.

Tinker Technique is a family bonding workshop that aims to develop the next generation with lifelong skills. Participate in activities ranging from designing your own motorised toys, water marbling and jam-making.

Also, The Inventions of Ancient Greece: Origins of Our Modern Technology exhibition officially closes on 24 March 2019. The exhibition features more than 40 inventions that span across a multitude of disciplines such as programming, astronomy and automation, just to name a few.

Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) from 7 to 24 March 2019

Organised by the National Arts Council (NAC), Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) is happening from 7 to 24 March 2019 over three weekends.

This season, the focus town is Tampines – Singapore’s third largest new town.

From among 50 arts activities happening at 16 locations islandwide, close to half of the programmes are inspired by the vibrant history and iconic sights and sounds of Tampines.

Singapore Heritage Festival 2019

The Singapore Heritage Festival 2019, returns from 15 March to 7 April 2019.

Over four weekends, the festival will head to Armenian Street Party, Kampong Gelam, Bedok, Telok Blangah and Kranji, bringing stories of each place’s heritage through meaningful and exciting programmes.

Enjoy heritage trails, tours, open houses, and performances at spots around Singapore, and hear hidden tales of our colourful history and heritage.
