To celebrate International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September, LOVE, NILS, one of Singapore’s leading children’s cancer charities, is encouraging everyone to join them in celebrating a month-long awareness and fundraising campaign.
Symbolised by a gold ribbon, LOVE, NILS is urging corporates, schools, individuals and the public to ‘Go for Gold’ throughout September and ‘Shine a Light on Childhood Cancer’.
With lots of fun ways to get involved – from wearing a gold ribbon, creating a buzz on social media or even organising a gold-themed event at home, school or office – it’s a great opportunity to raise much-needed awareness and funds for children and their families struggling with a cancer diagnosis.
For those wanting ideas on how to get involved with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, LOVE, NILS has created a handy downloadable ‘Go for Gold’ toolkit packed with creative suggestions.
Learn how to become an advocate or even organise a fundraising and awareness event in the local neighbourhood or work.
Lesli Berggren, Founder and Executive Director of LOVE, NILS said: “We would love as many people as possible to join in the fun with us this September and ‘Shine a Light on Childhood Cancer’! With everyone’s fantastic support, it will help LOVE, NILS spread awareness about this disease and continue to help us run programs that support children with cancer, and their families, during the trauma of childhood cancer. We would love as many people as possible across Singapore to help LOVE, NILS turn this red dot into gold!”
