If you don’t believe Prince George could get any cuter, think again.
A new story has been released featuring the little royal meeting the iconic ‘hunny-loving’ bear Winnie-the-Pooh.
Winnie-the-Pooh and the Royal Birthday was penned in honour of Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday. But, wait; it gets even more adorable! The beloved children’s book character also turns 90 this year.
Prince George and Queen Elizabeth will join the same cast of characters created by A.A. Milne in 1926.
Expect to find Pooh, Piglet, Eyore, Owl, Kanga, and Christopher Robin waiting for you in the hundred acre wood and beyond.
The story begins when Christopher Robin “who knew a great deal about far away places like the other side of the Forest and London” announces the exciting news of the Queen’s upcoming birthday. They decide they must bring her a special gift.
Toting a red balloon as their present, they journey to London to meet the Queen and they are amused to find her with an unusual friend.
“Behind The Queen ran a little boy. He was much younger than Christopher Robin and almost as bouncy as Tigger. He caught sight of Piglet and the balloon and he jumped up and down in delight. The little boy patted Piglet fondly and tickled Winnie-the-Pooh’s ears. Piglet handed him the beautiful balloon and he giggled and skipped away with it.”
The beautifully rendered book was written by Jane Riordan and illustrated by Mark Burgess.
