Jewel Changi Airport Canopy Park seems to have got off to a rough start. At least 2 accidents have been reported from the attraction, which opened on 10 June 2019.
In the most recent incident, a 14-year-old Singapore girl ended up with 9 stitches on her face, after she suffered a cut while playing at the Mirror Maze attraction at Canopy Park.

The incident happened at around 5.15 pm on 19 June 2019.
The girl’s aunt, Susan Goh, posted about it on Facebook, “My 14 years old niece got a cut at Jewel Changi Airport, Mirror Maze.”

Apparently, there were 6 children playing at the place.
“The attraction manager came to assist. The remedy procedure needs improvement. My niece had 9 stitches on her open wound at Raffles Hospital,” writes Susan.
“Thank God it didn’t pierce her eyes. I can’t imagine if she…”
Susan also told The Straits Times that the doctor said the stitches were likely to cause scarring.
Jewel Changi Airport responds
Recently (on 14 June 2019), another accident was reported from Jewel Changi Airport Canopy Park. A woman suffered a deep cut on her hand after tripping while on the 250-metre long Sky Nets attraction, which is suspended 25 metres above the ground at Canopy Park.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Jewel has confirmed this recent incident.
“First aid was immediately administered by the attraction ranger on duty when the guest discovered the injury upon exiting the maze.”
“We regret the guest’s unfortunate experience and wish her a smooth recovery. We urge all guests to stay aware of their personal safety whilst having fun at the attractions,” the spokesman told The Straits Times.
The spokesman also stated that the attractions at Canopy Park have undergone numerous safety tests before they were certified safe for operations.
