It took me only an hour.

It was 19th April at 10pm when I had my first contractions. I remained calm. I stood strong. It came every two hours so I thought this was another false alarm (I went to the hospital a week before).

On 20th April at 2am I felt the contractions grew worst. I kept going in and out of the toilet. I didn’t know what to expect as this was my very first labour. Half an hour later, I woke my husband up and told him I couldn’t take the pain longer.

I felt my baby’s head. So we rushed to the hospital, reached about 330am and the midwife told me I was 9cm dilated. I was lucky, as my water bag has burst. Any longer my baby could’ve been out of breath. I put on my oxygen mask and breathe in and out. In, out. By the time the nurse came, I was all ready to push. I pushed harder and popped!

My baby Harith Aniq was out at 430am. My labour took only an hour! It helps if you wait longer especially when the contractions come every 5 minutes.
