Singaporean prodigy Ainan Cawley is now studying in Malaysia because his parents think that the Singapore system of education is too rigid to nurture his talents. At the age of 7, this boy has already passed the GCE O-level Chemistry, making him the youngest student to pass this exam.
This 10-year old boy, along with his parents and siblings, moved to Malaysia last month. According to The Straits Times, he is now working towards a degree at Help University College in Kuala Lumpur.
Mr. Valentine Cawley, Ainan's father, said that they would only consider going back to Singapore if it makes a lot of changes in its education system. Right now, he doesn't see how the current system can support his son's development.
