A few years, or even months into parenthood, it’s common to hear parents sharing how they wish they could get more sleep or do things for themselves such as exercising, but it’s not really happening. Because you know, parenting is an exhausting business. But here’s the thing. It doesn’t have to be either or. You can be an awesome parent, without compromising on your own well-being.

Here are some free interactive events and workshops held by Health Promotion Board to support you in your parenting journey from the moment you give birth up till when your child starts primary school. These programmes will help you take charge of your own well-being, and empower you with knowledge and resources to help form healthier habits in your children.

Time to Get Up and Moving with Postnatal Workouts [Mums 3 to 24 months postpartum]

Congratulations Mama, you just had a baby! Now that you’ve given birth, you might want to slowly ease yourself back into exercising. It’s not just about getting back into shape. Rather, your body has been through a lot during pregnancy, and exercise is necessary to restore your body’s strength and balance among other things. We know that it’s not always easy to find the motivation to get started. And it can be a challenge to tear yourself away from your little one. For a start, you can leave your bub with Daddy or family members, and join these weekend Yoga and Pilates classes that will help you to:

  • Improve your physical well-being
  • Improve your postural balance after pregnancy
  • Rebuild muscular strength and endurance, balance and flexibility for daily activities
