Regular health screening is something that we should all make a regular habit. Once we have children, the need for health screening becomes even more crucial.
We look forward to living a fulfilling life where we get to see our children grow up – and to move on to see their children grow up. However, we must first take care of our own health in order to be able to care and love for others far into the future.
With this in mind, the Health Promotion Board (HPB) encourages us all to make a vow to screen for life!
Screen for life!
Health screening is important for everyone, not just parents. Different health screening tests and checks are available for men and women of different age groups. Typically, health screening involves the use of tests, physical examinations or other procedures to detect certain diseases early in people who look or feel well.
Even if you feel perfectly well, health screening can help you to find out if you have any abnormalities or conditions that may be of concern. This is particularly significant for those diseases that have no symptoms. The earlier a condition is detected and treated, the better the health outcome.
