This National Day season at HarbourFront Centre, food, fun and fitness take centre stage.
It’s finally the weekend and you have grand plans of taking the kids out to do something fun. Then again, considering how much it costs to do pretty much anything, staying in as a family doesn’t sound like such a bad idea after all, does it? Well, that’s what you get in one of the world’s finest but most expensive cities to live in! But believe it or not, there are things you can do as a family here in Singapore that does not come with a price tag.
How do you like the sound of absolutely free, fun-filled, family fitness activities? And by free, we don’t mean activities that just help you to while the time away. We are talking about having a jolly good time! Well, that’s exactly what’s happening at HarbourFront Centre (HFC) this National Day season.
And because it’s National Day, the activities lined up will take you on a nostalgic walk down memory lane to remind you about the humble beginnings of our beloved little red dot. In a nutshell, you can expect free fitness activities in celebration of Singapore’s independence day featuring nostalgic games and food.

Modernisation has taken place at an incredibly fast pace and Singapore has undergone dramatic changes. Won’t it be good to take a step back in time, relive the fun of yesteryears and show our children what it used to be like?
You can do just that by playing the nostalgia-infused games. Upon completing five stations, you can redeem free gifts from the Mama Shop (this is only available on 3 & 4 August from 4 to 8 pm). There will also be an unlimited assortment of free local delights like Kacang Putih, Dragon Beard Candy and Muah Chee for you to enjoy with your family. If your children aren’t familiar with these, then it’s a great time for them to try. While stocks last.
