Sakura Display Takes Center Stage with Kinkakuji Temple Replica
The centrepiece of this year's Sakura display is a stunning replica of Kyoto's iconic Kinkakuji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors can step inside the temple and imagine themselves transported to the heart of Japan.
As night falls, the Sakura display undergoes a breathtaking transformation, with specially lit trees and captivating light projections that only appear in the darkness, creating a magical "yozakura" (night sakura) landscape.
Over 140 Cherry Blossom Trees
The Sakura display boasts more than 140 cherry blossom trees of over 40 varieties, including visitor favourites like Prunus Accolade, Prunus Kiku Shidare, and Prunus Pendula Rubra. A new addition this year is the European plum blossom species, Prunus domestica, which stands out with its delicate white to pale pink flowers.
The display also features quintessential Japanese elements, such as a traditional thatched house, an engawa veranda, a sozu bamboo water fountain, and ema prayer plaques.
