In an exciting development, the world-renowned pop culture brand, Funko, is set to launch its first-ever pop-up store in Southeast Asia. And where better to make its debut than at the 2023 “World’s Best Airport,” Singapore’s Changi Airport.

Funko Pop-Up Store Takes Flight
Starting from the 6th of October 2023, travellers passing through Changi Airport’s Terminal 2, Departure Hall will be able to immerse themselves in the vibrant and whimsical world.
Funko: A Pop Culture Phenomenon
In the dynamic world of pop culture, one brand that has successfully etched its name in the hearts of millions is Funko. As a parent, you may have come across these cute, collectable figurines strewn across your child’s room or seen them prominently displayed in a store. Moreover, it’s appeal transcends age groups, and it’s quite likely that your child is already a fan.
A World of Fun and Fantasy
Spread across a 200 sqm experiential space, the pop-up store promises a unique and interactive experience for visitors of all ages. The store will feature life-sized statues of popular characters like Harry Potter, Groot, and Batman, offering fans the perfect photo opportunity.
But that’s not all! The store will also house ‘Pop! Boxes’ and an activity space where creativity is encouraged and fun is guaranteed.
A Collaborative Venture
The project is a collaborative effort between Funko, Changi Airport Group (CAG), and Simply Toys, Funko’s long-term Singapore Distribution partner.
Furthermore, Andy Clempson, Senior Regional Director Asia: Funko Far East, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that it allows Funko to present its brands to new consumers and offer existing international Funko fans a truly immersive experience.
He said, “We are delighted and excited to be working on this special project with CAG through our long-term Singapore Distribution partner Simply Toys. Changi airport is an iconic, world-renowned gateway to Asia, and this collaboration allows us to present our Funko brands to new consumers whilst allowing our existing international Funko fans to really “follow their fun” in a truly immersive experience.”
