Disney, in keeping with the tradition of making dreams come true, have confirmed to the New York Times that they will be bringing the hit animated film  ‘Frozen’ to the Broadway stage.

This will be the 9th musical that Disney will bring to Broadway.

Though it will hit Broadway in 2018, stagings will be done outside of Broadway in 2017.

The same team behind the hugely successful musical adaptation of “The Lion King” will work their magic on the equally beloved animated film.

At the helm will be Alex Timbers, a respected theater director who staged Disney’s “Peter and the Starcatcher” as well as “Rocky” and “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. Peter Darling will be choreographing. He is the genius behind the hits “Billy Elliot” and “Matilda the Musical”. The set and costumes will be designed by Tony award winning Bob Crowley, whose previous work includes “Aida” and “Mary Poppins”.

We can’t wait to hear how the awesome soundtrack which includes the infectious power ballad ‘Let it Go’ will be interpreted for the stage.
