Singaporean women holding the blue or orange Community Health Assist Scheme (Chas) card can now get breast cancer screening done for free.

The Singapore Cancer Society, which officially opened its mammogram facility on 14 November 2015, will fully pay for the subsidised screening rate of $50.

This financial assistance scheme is for an initial period of three years, after which it will be subject to a review for extension. It is aimed at Singaporean females in the lower to middle income, urging them to go for regular screenings.

The facility is located within the Singapore Cancer Society’s multi-service centre, which is located on the sixth floor of the office tower at Junction 8 in Bishan.

Eligible Singaporeans may schedule an appointment by called 6499 9133 or sending an e-mail to cs-appointment@singaporecancersociety.org.sg
