3. Wheeler’s Estate

Nestled in Seletar Aerospace Park, Wheeler’s Estate is housed in a beautiful former British military airbase-turned heritage building. Wildseed is another popular family-friendly establishment located in the Seletar Aerospace Park. It is one of the rare dual concept establishments in Singapore. Zaffron Kitchen serves some of the best North Indian cuisine in Singapore and a Michelin Bib Gourmand to show for it. Three buns is no ordinary burger joint. With names such as Bun DMC ($16) and Big Krabby Kane ($25), you know this place is packed full of flavour and personality. Besides serving some of the best burgers you’ll ever have, it is also a hub for the creative community. There’s also a playground nearby for the little ones to run around to get their creative juices flowing. Three Buns offers a ‘Lil Pup’ selection that includes a burger, fries and a vanilla shake for the younger ones when they need a recharge from all the running around.

A self-service kids cafe by the popular Food For Thought Group that encourages children to take more initiative when it comes to dining situations. The kid-themed cafe serves up one of the most comprehensive kids menus in Singapore from light bites to all-day brunches to mains. The variety did not come at the expense of quality, for example, one of the more popular items is the Skinny Works ($16) which is a platter of smoked salmon, avocado, scrambled eggs, garlic mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, mesclun tomato salad and multigrain toast. Kind Kones offers healthy, all-natural, scoops of vegan ice cream for you and your little ones to savour after a long day of shopping. The prices ranges from $4.9 for their single scoop standard flavours to $8 the double scoop premium flavours. If you feel like going one step further, you can try their Ice Cream Sandwich ($8) or Brownie Sundae ($11.5). There isn’t a wide open field for your kids to run around after the cold treat but they won’t have to since Kind Kones ice cream does not include refined sugar that might make them restless. Instead, there’s a colouring station with a book exchange to keep them busy while you savour every cold bite.

17. The Coastal Settlement

Tucked away in the northeastern part of Singapore is this spacious brunch spot houses in a building that used to play host to the Royal Air Force (RAF). Known as Block 20 within the Changi Camp compound, the modern décor strikes a balance that pays homage to the past while providing a comfortable dining environment for the whole family. The Coastal Settlement serves Asian-Western fusion cuisine ranging from a Ribeye Rosti ($41) to Oyster Char Kway Teow ($23). There’s also an outdoor play area chock full of items to keep the young ones entertained.

At Jamie’s Italian, you and your family can rest assured knowing the dishes served will be full of flavour and nutrition. Their kids menu isn’t simply smaller versions of the normal menu, dishes such as the Happy Chicken Lollipops ($12) and Five-A-Day Picnic Box ($12) have been designed to ensure your child gets an exciting meal that’s also tasty and nutritious. The kids meal comes with a salad and an unlimited serving of fruity water, milk or fruit juice. 19. Trapizza

Located at Siloso Beach, Trapizza is within a 5-minute walk from the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort. The casual Italian restaurant is a kids haven, with a fun menu that includes a ‘Build Your Own Bento’ box allowing the young ones to choose from a variety of pastas, sauces, pizzas, vegetables and drinks. The kids can run along the beach or frolic in the water play area while waiting for their pizza to come out of the woodfired oven.

Going to East Coast Park is a treat for the whole family and SandBank is the cherry on top. A unique family-friendly establishment that includes a 15m plunge pool and a 0.5m pool for the young ones to waddle in. When you step into Marché it feels like you’ve entered some sort of Swiss food theme park. Marché has spared no expense in bringing alive the feeling of traditional Swiss dining from its décor to the freshly sliced and pan-fried rösti.
