South Korea’s “Running Man” to Singapore for the First Time

Filmplace, a renowned content creators’ platform, is thrilled to partner with Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS), supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) as its destination partner, to exclusively bring the beloved South Korean variety show, “Running Man,” to Singapore later this month!
This momentous event is a collaboration of epic proportions with SBS, as Filmplace joins hands with esteemed organisations and brands, including STB, Mandai Wildlife Group, Grab, Bee Cheng Hiang and Accor to showcase Singapore’s diverse offerings.
Singaporeans are in for a treat as they get ready to embark on an exhilarating journey filled with laughter, challenges, and camaraderie with the cast of “Running Man”.

Agoda Releases Children’s Book Created Using Generative AI
Ahead of World Children’s Day which takes place annually on 20 November, digital travel platform Agoda created a children’s book using Generative AI (Gen AI) technology. The book, titled ‘Maya and the Secret World of Agoda’, sparks the imagination and encourages kids to explore and enjoy technology.
This book is centred around a young girl named Maya, who embarks on an adventure while visiting her mother at Agoda’s Bangkok office. The book takes young readers on a journey, introducing them to technological concepts through charming characters that help capture their imaginations, making it an entertaining and educational choice for children and families interested in technology around the globe.
It is now available to download for free on the Agoda platform and available in multiple languages, including English, Bahasa, Thai, Korean, Japanese, and more!

Singapore Writers Festival (17 – 26 November)

The 26th edition of the Singapore Writers Festival (SWF) promises to be a thrilling outing for the family. With literary powerhouses like British-Pakistani screenwriter Bisha K. Ali, Taiwanese writer Wu Ming-yi, and South Korean novelist/filmmaker Won Pyung Sohn, expect big reveals, surprising outcomes, and captivating endings.
In addition to the festival, don’t forget to visit the Literary Pioneer Exhibition featuring the late Goh Poh Seng. The exhibition runs at various locations until 27 December 2023.

Southeast Asia’s first Nintendo pop-up store in Singapore opens for a limited time period, from 17 November 2023) to 1 January 2024. The store will open from 10am to 10pm daily!
The store, located at Jewel at Changi Airport (Level 04-220/221) and operated by Avex Asia, will feature merchandise from games such as Super Mario, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon and Pikmin. These merchandise were previously only available at Nintendo TOKYO, Nintendo OSAKA, and Nintendo KYOTO stores.
