The girl's mother apparently received a call at around 7:15 pm alerting her about the accident outside Pasir Ris East Community Club (CC). The child was bleeding at the mouth, and taken to KK Women's and Children's Hospital that night.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Recently, an e-scooter rider was fined $1,500 after hitting a 7-year-old boy.

In another serious case, in March 2018, a Singapore mum was hit by an e-scooter on her way back home after work. Her condition later turned critical and she had to be warded in Changi General Hospital.
