Discovering Music!: The World’s a Stage: The Drama of Opera

Discovering Music! will feature excerpts from well-loved classical pieces such as Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Bizet’s Carmen, and Wagner’s The Ring Cycle (Ride of the Valkyries) and Tristan und Isolde.

You can expect to hear some exquisite and memorable operatic tunes that may just inspire your tot to learn more about musical history, moved by the virtuosity of Singapore’s flagship orchestra.

SSO Associate Conductor Jason Lai will be presenting and conducting, as well as engaging with the audience to break down orchestra concerts for beginners as well as discuss opera plots — this way, you and your kids will know what to listen, look out for, and appreciate.

There will also be a special feature where you and your little ones can post all your questions to him during the concert about classical music which will be projected up on a screen as he engages with the audience in real time.
