The total number of cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore has reached the 1,000 mark, as 74 new cases were confirmed here, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Wednesday (1 April).
Of the new confirmed cases, 54 are local cases with no recent travel history. A total of 29 cases are linked to previous cases or clusters while the other 25 are currently unlinked. Contact tracing is ongoing said MOH.
The remaining 20 cases are imported and had a travel history to Australia, Europe, South America, Africa, ASEAN and other parts of Asia.

MOH also found two new clusters—Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home at 1 Thomson Lane, as well as a workers' dormitory located at 55 Sungei Kadut Loop.
Among the new cases, is a 102-year-old woman, the oldest COVID-19 patient to date in Singapore. She is linked to the old age home cluster.
The patient was confirmed to have contracted the virus on Wednesday, and is now warded in isolation at the National Centre for Infectious Disease (NCID).
Meanwhile, another child tested positive for COVID-19. The patient, a 7-year-old Singaporean female, tested positive for the virus infection on Wednesday. She has since been admitted to the National University Hospital (NUH).
The child is a family member of two previous cases, cases 886 and 991.
