With the shift to Phase 3 (heightened alert) and the country progressively reopening again, many families are probably looking for new cool places to go to in Singapore.

Good news is that just in time for the transition to stage two of this phase, Singapore Sports Hub will be reopening more of its venues and facilities to the public.

Following Singapore’s shift to Phase 3 on 21 June, a majority of Singapore Sports Hub’s facilities will gradually reopen. Since the beginning of the phase, venues such as the Water Sports Centre, Sports Hub Fitness and OCBC Arena have become accessible.

The Sports Hub Gym has also open for official members to use. 

Then on 28 June 2021, the OCBC Aquatic Centre also opened again after the Singapore National Swimming Championships that were held between 22 and 27 June. The pool can now be used again for lap swimming. 

All programmes and venues will still continue to observe safe management measures including safe social distancing and practice of good personal hygiene.

8 Cool Places To Go In Singapore Sports Hub

As the centre reopens again, here are the cool venues to try at the Singapore Sports Hub. These are now available for the public to visit:

1. OCBC Arena

We’re starting our list of the cool places to go to in Singapore Sports Hub with Halls 1 to 3 of the OCBC Arena, which are accessible. These halls hold courts for basketball, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, and netball.

Its facilities such as the Sports Hub Gym and sports Hub Fitness Studio are also now reopened for people to enjoy some much-needed physical activities to stay in shape.

2. Splash-N-Surf water park 

Families can splash around at the Splash-N-Surf waterpark, which is perfect to battle the summer heat. Enjoy a variety of recreational water activities along with its Stingray facility for surfing. 

3. Water Sports Centre

Bring the kids along and rent a kayak or canoe at the Water Sports Centre. You can also visit its Dragon boat rental that will also be reopening.

4. Sports Hub Library

You can also take a break from all the sports activities at the Singapore Sports Hub and visit its Sports Hub Library instead. Take the time to relax and gain some sports knowledge. 

5. Singapore Sports Museum

Another one of the cool places to go to in Singapore Sports Hub is its Singapore Sports Museum. You’ll be able to spot an array of exhibitions of the country’s sporting heritage and it will be open once again for the public to visit. 

6. Climb Central

Take the whole family for some rock climbing fun at Climb Central. There are limited slots available daily in line with the Phase 3 capacity limitations, so make sure to reserve slots as early as you can. 

7. Shimano Cycling World

If you and your child are more into cycling, the Shimano Cycling World will also be opening its facilities where visitors can view cycling exhibits as well as installation art. Definitely one of the cool places to go to in Singapore Sports Hub where families can enjoy cycling on the regular. 

8. Kallang Wave Mall

The shopping district at Singapore Sports Hub will also now be accessible for customers of Kallang Wave Mall. 

All these facilities and venues at Singapore Sports Hub are subject to safe management measures to reduce the risk of transmission. So you and your family can safely enjoy the activities within the centre.
