Since Christopher Lee and Fann Wong announced the news of their pregnancy earlier this year, the public and media have been waiting anxiously for news on how both mum and baby are doing. Wait no more, fans of ‘Christofann’ – here’s a short update on how the new parents-to-be have been coping with the impending arrival of their new bundle of joy!

According to a report on the Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao, Christopher Lee shared with the press at the opening ceremony of his new CHannel 8 drama series ‘Against the Tide’ that Fann suffered serious morning sickness and loss of appetite at the start of her pregnancy, but things are starting to improve now.

Both Fann and their baby are doing well, and there have not been any great changes to Fann’s body. Being the eager first-time dad-to-be, Christopher would also affectionately talk to his unborn child by saying, “Hi! I’m your Daddy!”

Fann is in good hands

When asked if he was worried about the pregnancy being classified as high risk due to Fann’s age (the actress is 43 this year), this was what he reportedly replied: “I’m not worried. Technology is so advanced now. Furthermore, getai singer Liu Lingling also gave birth at 50 years old!”

He also added that the baby was ‘made in Singapore’ and having Fann’s parents live under the same roof helps to put his mind at ease, as they can “keep an eye on their daughter.”

When the couple first discovered the pregnancy through a test kit, they didn’t really know how to react — they didn’t shout for joy, that’s for sure. Instead, they chose to stay skeptical until the pregnancy was confirmed by their gynaecologist. Only then were their hearts set at ease.

Of gender and pregnancy cravings

Both Fann and Christopher do not know if they will be expecting a baby boy or girl.

“We’ll let nature take its own course and hopefully, we will get a surprise,” said the actor.

When asked if Fann would make him go out of the way to buy food in the middle of the night to satisfy her cravings, Christopher said, “She’s very nice! Earlier, she also said: ‘Love, I will not give you such a problem!

However, he mentioned that her appetite has changed due to the pregnancy. It seems that Fann enjoys eating fishballs like Christopher now, which made her say to him, “There’s another you in my tummy.”
