Tell your kids a story with a game

“Weird Tales” is an original innovation created locally and will therefore pioneer as Singapore’s first story telling card game.

The game explores creative ways of telling a story to kids and at the same time it urges kids to squeeze those creative juices to contribute to building tale as well. Easy to play, the product is suitable for ages 10 and above.

Game plan

The aim of the game is to gain points with the story cards provided. Players have to complete the story according to one “ending” card picked at the start of the game. All players take turns contributing to elements of the story which eventually lead to the “ending” card.

Players pit their story skills against one another to emerge as the victorious story teller with the most points .Using their creativity, players must make the most of their five story cards in hand to continue the story according to wherever the previous players topped. It is up the players imagination create characters and scenarios to complete the tale.

The game can be played with 3 to 6 players.

The Story behind “Weird Tales”

With an array of eye-grabbing illustrations, “Weird Tales” is vibrantly designed to appeal to anyone who loves fun and games. Weird tales is the first published game by designer, Marjorie Van Der Straaten.

“The stories are meant to be fantastical, in fact, the weirder the better!” says Straaten.

I Heart Board Games publish top quality board games and card games that are simple to learn yet fun to play.

It is a start up company supported by SPRING Singapore (An enterprise development agency responsible for aiding the growth of Singapore’s enterprises) and Singapore Polytechnic. The “learn through play” philosophy has been captured as one can create, play and teach with this game.

Try this game out with your family this festive season and get ready for an experience filled with antics, imagination and laughter.
