Singapore’s 59th birthday bash is going to be a real showstopper this year. With the National Day Parade (NDP) at the Padang and festivities extending to the Promontory at Marina Bay, there’s double the fun in store. NDP 2024: A Grand Celebration at the Padang
This year’s NDP theme, “Together, As One United People,” is all about celebrating our unity and collective strength as Singaporeans. Expect pre-parade performances by students, local artists, and the ever-popular Red Lions to kick things off.
One of the highlights is the inaugural Total Defence 40 (TD40) Dynamic Defence Display, a coordinated multi-domain warfighting demonstration between Padang and Marina Bay. Talk about action-packed!
The parade will also feature enhanced multimedia and fireworks effects, creating an immersive 360-degree experience. And for the first time, the marching contingents will march onto the spectator stand, bringing the parade right to you.
Bay Celebration: Extending the Festivities
While the main event is at the Padang, the celebrations will extend to the Promontory at Marina Bay on August 9. Co-organised with NTUC, this extension allows you to enjoy the fireworks, the TD40 Dynamic Defence Display’s maritime and aerial segments live, stage performances, and a live telecast of the NDP at the Padang.

Heartland Celebrations: Bringing the Party to You
The fun doesn’t stop on National Day.
On August 10, celebrations will continue in five heartland locations, co-organised with the People’s Association. Expect live performances, carnival activities, and static displays of vehicles from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), and the Singapore Police Force (SPF).
Fireworks displays will light up the sky, bringing the joy of NDP 2024 closer to home.
NDP 2024 Theme Song: “Not Alone”
This year’s NDP theme song, “Not Alone,” is composed and performed by local artist Benjamin Kheng. Paying homage to past NDP hits, the song aims to evoke a sense of unity and support.
The music video, featuring computer-generated fabrics symbolizing Singapore’s social fabric, has already garnered much attention.
Chance to Win NDP 2024 Tickets
This year’s NDP celebrations will include public engagement activities to encourage volunteerism and compassion. By using associated hashtags on social media, you can stand a chance to win NDP tickets.
The #GiveAsOneSG campaign seeks to raise awareness of volunteering, while #TogetherAsOneSG aims to encourage Singaporeans to celebrate the nation’s birthday together.
