Important vastu tips for Diwali

Diwali is one of the most beautiful of the Indian festivals since it is full of colours and lights. However, besides all those sweets and fervor, there one important aspect to take care of while celebrating the festival.

Since it’s the day of worshipping of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi, it is important that you do it the right way. We bring to you few vastu tips to have a fruitful puja this festive season.

The north-east corner of the house is the most accurate and ideal corner for worshiping. However, if this is not possible for you, then you can also move to the eastern corner of your house.The worship place or the temple should not have black colour around it.

Always use a clean cloth to clean the temple or the idols. This cloth shouldn't be used for any other purpose. While worshiping, do not wear black or dark coloured clothes.

The northern corner of your house is related to wealth. So, Lakshmi puja should be done in that direction. Besides, you shouldn't keep more than two idols of the same God in your temple.

The idol of Lord Ganesha should be placed on the left side of Goddess Lakshmi, while Goddess Saraswati should be placed on the right side.All these idols should be in the sitting position. Keep them in the north-east direction and a picture of water or kalash should be there in north or east side of the idols. These idols should not face each other.

Keep away from negativity

Keep away from negativity

A day before Deepawali is the best day to remove negativity. Start this day by worshiping Lord Hanumana or Goddess Kali so that your home and soul can overcome negativity. Negative thoughts are known to invite diseases and therefore, it is important to stay away from them.
Get rid of the clutter

Get rid of the clutter

Remove all the trash from your house before Diwali and make room for some new stuff. According to Vastu Shastra, your front door is connected to new opportunities and the gate should be kept open on that day so that the opportunities can come in.

Avoid to clutter behind the main door. Hall is the room where you are connected with the external world, therefore, it should always be kept clean. Do not keep old or useless stuff in this room.

Salt water spray

Salt water spray

Spray a mixture of salt and water in all the corners of your home, especially during Diwali. It is believed that salt absorbs the negativity and purifies the atmosphere. After spraying, wash your hands well with soap.
Burn guggal dhoop

Burn guggal dhoop

During Diwali, light guggal dhoop in all the corners of your home. This dhoop strengthens all the Vastu Purusha. In addition to it, it also brings down the stress level by escalating peace in the family. In fact, you can use this dhoop every day.
