Best Brunch in Singapore: Top Places to Get Together for A Delightful Meal

Craving for delicious food? Here is a list of the best brunch in Singapore plus the menu items to delight your all taste buds.

The pandemic has resulted in social isolation, causing many of us to feel stressed and mentally burned out. Humans are social beings, and going out for a good meal is a wonderful way to catch up with friends or simply improve emotional well-being while checking out new places. In this article, we bring to you the top places to get the best brunch in Singapore.

Why brunch is a great meal

Brunch combines the two words “breakfast" and “lunch." It is the perfect in-between time to start the day with a sumptuous meal. Countries around the world have been celebrating brunch in their unique cultural style for many years. Not only is the timing perfect, but you also get to choose from two menus, both breakfast and lunch.

Hence, if you’re feeling peckish, it’s the best time to try out sweet yet savoury flavours, the best of both worlds. It’s also the perfect social event for dining with family , as most brunches are held on weekends.

Many restaurants also offer a drinks menu for brunch which is as varied as the food. In addition, you can wear whatever you want as there are no formal dress restrictions. Typically, restaurants will also have vegan options to accommodate diverse dining preferences.

Astor Bar Review:

Best Brunch in Singapore: Top Places to Get Together

Best for Cocktail Brunch

Astor Bar takes diners on a gastronomic journey with its five-course brunch menu inspired by its American legacy. What’s even better is they have an adults-only cocktail brunch available every first Saturday of the month, starting November 6.

The brunch menu starts with a luxurious seafood platter featuring Alaskan king crab legs, oysters, and shrimps. You can also savour the rich Wagyu beef burger with foie gras, and the juicy Boston lobster roll.

Our food picks:

  • Signature cocktails inspired by New York flavours and local culture, including Duke of Jazz (rum, tequila, pineapple, lemon).
  • The iconic Violet Hour Martini, which represents sophistication and elegance, features aromatized wine, orange liqueur and violet liqueur.
  • Generous seafood platter.

Do’s and Don’ts for a delightful brunch experience

Brunch is a social group affair, so here is some etiquette to observe to ensure everyone has a pleasant time:

  • Do observe proper health protocols from the government when dining out
  • Do not order the dinner menu at brunch because most kitchens will not be prepared for dinner at that time, hence they will probably not be able to prepare it or take a super long time to do so
  • Don’t be an egg diva – if the menu says the eggs will be poached, that’s how it is. Trying to order the eggs in a different manner is surely not the way to brunch in style.
  • Don’t ask for a frappuccino if there isn’t any on the coffee menu, that’s bad brunch etiquette. The restaurant may not even have the ingredients to grant your request.
  • Avoid splitting the check among multiple credit cards. With a meal as popular as brunch, the restaurant will be super busy, and it’ll take a long time to split the check among multiple cards. If the majority have cash, it’s better etiquette to pay in cash separately.

We hope this article helps you in deciding where to have the best brunch in Singapore!
