Back in March of this year, Elaina Bellis gave birth to her identical twin daughters, Quincy and Rowe. Since then, like any new mother, Elaina has been breastfeeding her babies.

Unfortunately for Elaina, breastfeeding isn’t as easy as she had hoped. She’s been struggling to provide her twin daughters with enough milk to fully stimulate their growth.

Feeling the frustration of not being able to provide for her daughters, this brave mother took to Instagram to share her emotional experience with other mums:

I tried everything in my power to build a supply for my girls,” Bellis writes in her emotional Instagram post. “Due to the way my birth went and excess of fluids in my body and trauma, my breasts aren’t able to supply even enough milk for one baby. I never thought I would have problems breastfeeding and realize now I did the absolute best I could do.”

Elaina has certainly done what she can to make sure that her daughters are cared for. She even sought out other mums to provide her twin daughters with the nourishment they need after realising that she wasn’t able to.

Her post is very touching and saddening for a parent to read. Her passion and enthusiasm for being a mother is very evident, and it’s unfortunate to see that this loving mother cannot be the one to provide for her babies. However, this hasn’t deterred her from being the best mother she can be.

In her post, Bellis writes, “I pump all day to be able to provide my girls with one ounce of my milk, and I’ve [accepted] that’s the best I can do. All I can give them is my love and that’s most important.”

Clearly nothing can stop Elaina from being the best mum she can be. Hopefully, her powerful viral post will help other mums in similar situations feel the same way.
