A video of a boy with autism being moved to tears as he saw his favourite band Coldplay in concert for the first time.

Shared by his dad, Luis Vazquez, the powerful and touching moment has earned over 2 million views in just a few days after it was posted.

The proud father shared the moment via Youtube. In the clip, we see the young boy skipping happily to the show before it cuts to the part of the show where he can hardly contain his emotions and starts crying as the band performs their hit song “Fix You” at the Mexico concert.

The song, inspired by helping someone through sadness and anxiety, was released in 2005 and has gone on to become one of the rock band’s biggest hits.

Vazquez’s son jumps up and down wiping his own tears as the music swells. His dad, moved, plants a gentle kiss on his cheek as we hear the lyrics: “See it stream..down your face…when you lose something…you cannot replace.”

As the song and video end, we see Vazquez wrapping his son in an embrace as Chris Martin sings the coda: “Lights will guide you home…And ignite your bones…And I will try to fix you.”

In a translation of the video’s Spanish caption, we learned that Vazquez and his wife wanted to share that special moment with the world to encourage them to “keep looking for sharing [these] kind of things that make us understand there is still a chance for having a better place for them! #autismspeak.”

The video finally reached the band Coldplay who took to twitter to share the video their 17 million followers on twitter. The greeted Luis and his “hijo hermoso” (beautiful boy)…This kind of thing makes it all worthwhile.”

But there were some smiles, too! In another video taken that night, we see Vazquez’s son jumping gleefully as he experienced the band’s live rendition of “A Sky Full of Stars”, his favorite song (as he says so early in the video).
