Bella Astillah’s daughter was born on Saturday (18 Jul), but unfortunately, her Singaporean singer-actor husband Aliff Aziz could not be by her side to accompany her through birth.
Her newborn daughter’s face was revealed two weeks after birth, in the pictures she shared on Instagram (29 Jul). It featured Bella with her two children—including 3-year-old son Ayden Adrean.
Both Bella and Ayden smiled at the camera as Bella cradled her newborn, Ara Adreanna in her arms. The family also colour-coordinated their outfits in aesthetically pleasing sweet mint colours for the photoshoot.
“So precious and small.. Welcome to the world, lil’ princess @araadreanna ❤️ (mini-me),” the 26-year-old wrote in her post.
The Malaysian singer-actress who comes to Singapore regularly for work also added: “Being a mom has made me so tired. AND SO HAPPY! I’m so blessed. Alhamdulillah ✨”
Bella also paid tribute to her mother Eina Astillah, for specially sewing a hand-made dress for Ara the night before the photoshoot.
Many fans of Bella left congratulatory messages on her post and showered baby Ara with compliments of her cuteness and looking like an “angel”.
One user also noted that Bella’s husband Aliff was not present during the photo shoot. Her comment reads: “I wonder why Aliff Aziz is not there.”
In an interview with Berita Harian Online, Bella shared that she has not met with her husband Aliff, 29, for months.
Due to the pandemic where the border gate between Malaysia and Singapore was still closed, Aliff was unable to travel from Singapore (his home country) to Malaysia.
Despite the physical distance between them, Bella said she still feels close to her husband as they regularly communicate with each other. According to her, Aliff did not shirk his responsibilities as a husband and father and remained in contact every day without fail to greet her and Ayden.
“Being away does not mean that Aliff is relinquishing his responsibilities. We communicate every day either through voice and video calls. My husband always cares about me and the unborn baby, so I do not feel lonely,” she said to BH Online.
Instead of focusing on the fact that Aliff would not be there to accompany her through birth, Bella said she decided to focus on ensuring a smooth delivery.
The singer of the song ‘Tenang’ shared that work kept her busy, leaving her with no time to “entertain feelings”.
“After all, I am not alone, my mother, father and siblings are always with me. So, I am not lonely or sad to have to go through the process of pregnancy and childbirth without a husband by my side.”
She added: “After all, I am an adult, there is no time to think about such things too much. Instead, I just calm down and be patient with what happened.”
In a separate Instagram post (2 Aug), Bella also shared an adorable moment between her two children, with Ayden leaning towards his little sister with a kissy pout.
“The greatest gift I’ve ever received, Alhamdulillah 🤲🏻,” Bella wrote.
