Most mothers-to-be opt for the natural process of child delivery. However, there are often cases when a Caesarean, also known as a C-section is required. C-section is quite common amongst parents in Singapore especially this is the year of dragon.

While C-sections are necessary due to medical reasons, the latest research shows that children born by C-section may not get the probiotics or protective bacteria like children born naturally and are more prone to infections and allergy.

We understand that as busy parents, you have a lot of questions with regard to C-sections. How long will it take to recover from a C-section for both mom and baby? When can mother start exercising? Can nutrition play a role in strengthening baby’s immunity? We are here to help answer them!

Nestlé and theAsianparent have teamed up to help you!

Our Expert Doctor, Dr Ang Huai Yan, will take questions posted by you regarding C-sections. Your questions will be looked through and answered by the doctor the week after next. You will be able to view these answers both in text and video format.
