Ask the expert Dr Ang Huai Yan about childbirth and C-section protection

Most mothers-to-be opt for the natural process of child delivery. However, there are often unforseen or unexpected cases when a Caesarean, also known as a C-section is required.

While C-sections are necessary due to medical reasons, the latest research shows that children born via C-section may not get essential probiotics or protective bacteria like children born naturally and are more prone to infections and allergy.

We understand that as busy parents, you have many questions about C-sections. How long will it take to recover from a C-section for both mom and baby? When can mother start exercising? Can nutrition play a role in strengthening baby’s immunity? We are here to help answer them!

Nestlé and theAsianparent have teamed up to help you!

Our Expert Doctor, Dr Ang Huai Yan, will take questions posted by you regarding C-sections. Your questions will be looked through and answered by the doctor the week after next. You will be able to view these answers both in text and video format.
