Allergies can occur in any individual. In fact, even if both parents have no history of allergies, a child has a 5 to 15% risk of developing an allergy. Allergies can affect a child’s health and take on various forms including atopic dermatitis, asthma, allergic rhinitis and more.
So, the big question here is, can allergies be prevented? What can parents do to minimise the risk of their child developing allergies?
Nestlé and theAsianparent have teamed up to help you!
Our expert doctor, Dr Liew Woei Kang, will take questions posted by you regarding allergies in children. Your questions will be looked through and answered by the doctor the week after next. You will be able to view these answers in text and video formats.
