Hospital Antenatal Classes In Singapore: 

1. Singapore General Hospital 

SGH offers two antenatal packages for different purposes.

Taught by experienced nurses and dieticians, Package 1 focuses on having a healthy pregnancy, breastfeeding skills, and safe delivery while package 2 classes led by specialist physiotherapists, are designed to promote physical wellness and arm you with exercises to better cope with labour pains.

Exercise attire is recommended. 

Timing: 

Package 1 – 6 to 8 pm on Tuesdays. 

Package 2 – 6 to 7.30 pm over 2 Wednesday evenings each month.

2. KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital 

Held once a week, KKH’s antenatal classes are divided into 3 segments – caring for your baby (recommended to start during week 16), labour and childbirth, and nurturing your child. 

The programme consists of eight sessions and a complimentary talk to guide you through various stages of your pregnancy. Classes are conducted by our team of lactation consultants, dieticians, pharmacists, physiotherapists and parentcraft nurses, qualified in their respective areas of expertise. 

Do book your spots in advance parents as there are limited slots for these antenatal classes in Singapore. 

 

3. Thomson Medical Centre 

TMC has its very own Child Birth Education Centre where you can select either a full-day intensive course or a weekly course.

But of course, the weekly courses are a lot more extensive and cover more topics like physical and mental preparation, pain relief, practical hands-on baby care and feeding.

The best part of TMC’s classes is its Doctor’s Talk which lets you consult with their doctor for free. You can start booking the classes around the 20th week of gestation.

NUH similar to SGH offers two antenatal classes – express and normal –  to better suit your needs.

Express class includes 2 classes and 1 baby massage session while the normal class includes 7 classes and 1 baby massage session.
