Taiwanese Actress Ady An has given birth to her second child, a baby girl this time around. She shared the delightful news on social media on Thursday (29 Oct).
In a Facebook post, the 40-year-old shared a video of her Macau businessman husband, Levo Chan, holding on to their 1-year-old son on one arm, and cradling their newborn daughter with another.
Alongside the video, Ady wrote in the caption that their family of four is doing “good”.
“After waiting for ten months, I finally saw Mr Chan’s lover Wa-bao… Well… I admit defeat! You’re better looking than me,” Ady added, revealing their daughter’s nickname as “Wa-bao”.
According to Ady in an interview with Taipei News, her daughter is a Libra baby with big eyes and thick hair. She explains that her little one’s nickname is related to her own as she looked like a doll (wa-wa) when she was born.
And now that she has a daughter, her baby darling, the nickname “Wa-bao” was naturally given to her.
The couple’s one-year-old son, on the other hand, is nicknamed “66” as Chan’s nickname is “65”.
In an interview, Ady revealed that giving birth to a second child was originally unintended, if not for her husband. After all, the actress had only given birth to 66 in July last year.
She explained that Chan wanted another child. After assessing her own physical condition and energy levels, among other factors, the couple eventually agreed to try for another child as soon as possible.
This decision was also in consideration of her son as Ady does not want him to be lonely in the future as an only child.
While Ady jokingly states in her post that her husband does not have enough hands to hug her (as seen in the video), his love for her is no less.
According to reports, before Ady gave birth to their second child, Chan had bought 20.65% of Macau Legend for 1.344 billion Hong Kong dollars (approximately S$235.71 million) and became the largest shareholder.
The shareholder authorisation letter was said to have Ady’s name on it as well, and that the couple jointly held these shares—a gift from Chan.
And as it appears, this gesture is not Chan’s first. When 66 was born, Chan reportedly bought four villas in Macau for HK$600 million (approximately S$15.23 million) in Ady’s name.
