Actor Park Yong-ha of "Winter Sonata" Commits Suicide

Police said that the South Korean actor and singer Park Yong-ha has been found dead in his home in Southern Seoul on Wednesday.

His mother found his lifeless body at around 5.30am, hanging from a mobile phone charging cable in his room. This apparently happened after repeatedly saying “I’m sorry” to his family including his father who has been diagnosed with stomach cancer at around 12.40am.

The cause of death is most likely to be suicide, but investigations are bring carried out.

The actor, well-known for his many appearances in hit dramas, including Winter Sonata, Men’s Story and on Air, also had a large following in Japan, from his Japanese single albums.

Our condolences go out to family, friends and fans, who will be greatly affected by the loss of this talented artiste. The funeral procession is to take place on the 2nd of July.
