The Dreamers Hall at Shaw Theatres Balestier will open on 4 October 2023. In this iteration, Dreamers will be our first fully free seating hall with colourful bean bag loungers instead of theatre seats, and it can also be a flexible, creative space for those who want a dynamic venue with movie screening technologies and capabilities.

Dreamers is Singapore’s first movie theatre concept designed with the family in mind, and was first introduced at Shaw Theatres Jewel in 2019. It screens family-friendly titles all year round with less intense audio settings and soft ambient lighting, allowing the little ones to find their way around the hall, whilst parents will still able to keep an eye on them.
The interior is designed to be both fun and cosy at the same time, featuring vibrant colours and an open play space at the front of the hall. Dreamers is the perfect setting for parents and children to be immersed in the enchanting magic of family-friendly movies.
Dreamers at Shaw Theatres Balestier has been imagined with more play space – in fact the whole hall is a play space. There are no seats and only bean bag loungers with a full-body contoured design and high backrest. Made with premium sofa weave fabrics, you will be seated in weightless comfort throughout a screening. There are also mini kids-sized versions in the front row.
In total, the new Shaw Theatres Balestier has 11 halls (six regular halls, four Lumiere halls and one Dreamers hall).
