What is 50cube?
50cube is a 50km hike aimed at raising S$50 000 for our pioneer generation. It began last year where over 50 individuals and 17 companies came forward for the cause. In just 2 months, the initiative managed to raise S$20 000 for 2 different charities that help take care of the elderly.
This year 50cube wants to do even more – the goal is to raise $50,000 for their selected beneficiaries, this being the residents of Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home (LAMH) and the Caregiver’s Training Programme at Alzheimer’s Disease Association (Singapore).
Start and finish…
The hike will take place bright and early on the 19th of November 2016 (Saturday), with flag-off being at 6am. Hikers will begin at Toa Payoh Town Park and hike all the way to Marina Barrage! Fret not, snacks and hydration will be provided every 5km to keep your energy levels up! Further, lunch will be provided once hikers hit the 25km mark.

The hike ends, as we’ve mentioned, at Marina Barrage where the Big Family Day Out (BFDO) will be taking place. Meaning that you can have your little ones, big ones, furry ones all ready to welcome you once you complete the hike!
There will be a carnival fully equipped with kids’ rides, live music, old school games, and food! It promises to be fun for the whole family, so we suggest you round up the troops and head on down.
