The Ministry of Education (MOE) website witnessed a huge intake of traffic as the 2015 average PSLE results were published today, following the release of the individual results to students.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was quick to congratulate and encourage the new ranks of primary education graduates in a Facebook post.
The statistics for this year’s PSLE results show that 66.2% of students are eligible for the express stream, a slight dip from last year’s 66.4%.
Other than this, 21.7% are eligible for the Normal (Academic) course and 10.4% for the Normal (Technical) course, meaning a total of 98.3% of those who sat for the exam will move on to secondary schools.
The total percentage is an increase from 2014’s 97.6%.
According to The Straits Times, the MOE is not revealing the top PSLE scorer, as well as the “highest and lowest scores achieved by pupils in the cohort,” in an attempt to reduce focus on grades.
We at theAsianparent join in with congratulating each and every PSLE 2015 student. Well done, all of you!
